I use the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag and they would always turn out runny, so I started adding a 1/4 of a cup more flour than the recipe calls for and now they're perfect! My other little tip? Add just a pinch of cinnamon and it gives the cookies just a little something extra that makes them super yummy!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18051570294444452210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1714533677640680704.post-74494212187717382009-03-20T18:00:00.000-07:002009-03-20T18:00:00.000-07:00I use the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip...I use the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag. A trick I learned last year was to use Crisco (butter flavored) sticks instead of the butter. I also only use the mixer for creaming...I stir the rest in by hand. But it sounds like you might have bigger issues that you are dealing with :)

Good luck!
KarenKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12719874744151382283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1714533677640680704.post-78610772408351814852009-03-19T13:12:00.000-07:002009-03-19T13:12:00.000-07:00This is so funny that you have a post on this beca...This is so funny that you have a post on this because I too think that my chocoalte chip cookie making skills went out the window when I got married. Just a few things to keep in mind, you are in a different spot in the country and the humidity will effect your out come just as elevation will... and I bet that you are using a different brand of sugar, flour, butter, etc. and that will effect the cookies a bit from what you are use too, it did for me.HayMadSamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14862561791326685492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1714533677640680704.post-37262910188262615442009-03-19T12:05:00.000-07:002009-03-19T12:05:00.000-07:00I have a favorite recipe that has never failed as ...I have a favorite recipe that has never failed as long as I followed it to the last item. If you stir then in with a mixer you add too much air and that makes for a cookie that spreads.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225002978838948682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1714533677640680704.post-90837249377199838352009-03-18T11:15:00.000-07:002009-03-18T11:15:00.000-07:00You probably need to adjust for your altitude.
